DATA SPACE

A secure and interoperable data space enabling trusted data sharing and value creation across time-critical bio-production ecosystems

What it is?

The CLARUS Data Space is a secure and interoperable environment that enables trusted data sharing across the time-critical bio-production ecosystem. It is designed to support the exchange, access and reuse of heterogeneous industrial data while preserving data sovereignty, control and transparency, following European data space principles.

What it is for?

The CLARUS Data Space is intended for industrial stakeholders, technology providers and research organisations involved in bio-production value chains. It supports data owners and data consumers who need to collaborate, share information and extract value from data while maintaining control over how their data is accessed and used.

Benefits

The Data Space enables secure and trusted data sharing between multiple stakeholders, reducing data silos and improving collaboration across the ecosystem. It supports interoperability between systems, enhances data transparency and traceability, and facilitates data-driven decision-making while ensuring compliance with data sovereignty and access control requirements.

Status

The CLARUS Data Space has been developed as a functional prototype and reference architecture within the project. It has been validated through industrial use cases and demonstrates how European data space concepts can be applied in real bio-production scenarios to support secure and interoperable data exchange.

Applications

The Data Space provides mechanisms for data publication, discovery, access and usage control through standardised interfaces. It enables integration with edge and cloud platforms, supports semantic interoperability and allows secure data exchange between organisations, forming the foundation for advanced analytics and AI-driven services within CLARUS.

Access

The CLARUS Data Space is available as a project-developed reference implementation and architectural framework. Technical documentation, specifications and guidelines are provided through the official CLARUS deliverables, supporting reuse and adaptation by external stakeholders beyond the project lifetime.
